During a third-grade lesson on the civil rights movement and Rosa Parks, a Latino eight-year-old raises their hand to ask, “Where did we sit on the bus?” and the teacher can’t answer the question. Yet to be announced, this show will be a brand-new, original adaptation of either a Mexican or Peruvian traditional children's story, to be performed in Spanish and English with two different casts. In The Importance of Being Earnest, healthy bachelors Jack and Algernon create alter egos named Ernest to escape their tiresome lives and to win the hearts of two women who, conveniently, claim to only love men called Ernest.
